Well, it's been a long time. Guess I better write more often. Of course, when school ends, I should have a little more time on the computer to blog. HAHAHA! Who am I kidding!
Well, we'll see. No promises, just that I'll give it a "try".
How are you all doing?

What can I say?
I'm probably better off not saying much. I'm literally so tired, it's hard to think straight.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here, and I still care.

Happy Valentines Day!

Eric and I met in June 1990. We were married September 1, 1991, at the electric company. Yes, the electric company, (AP&L, now Entergy) in their meeting room (the Ready Room), their mascot was Ready Killowatt. Ten years later, we renewed our vows at Faith Assembly of God church.
This picture is our engagement photo. Look at us! We were just kids!!! hahaha
Our marriage is a testimony to God's goodness, in spite of us.

Catch up!
Well, most of my Christmas pics didn't turn out so well. Ugh, don't you just hate that?!

Anyway, my sister Kim, gave us a CD and prints of pics she took of our family on Father's day. The only thing missing that day was my sister Kristy and her husband Heath. Kim's website is http://www.kimlowery.com/ and I HIGHLY recommend her for your photography needs.
Here's the proof:

Sailor Men
While Pa was here, he got curious. He had me bring his old Navy suit (dress blues) from his house to see if one of the boys could fit into them. This suit is in amazing shape for being made in 1943! So, here's Tiger (who is the same height as Pa) showing his "guns"....hahaha!
Did I mention Pa has an "onery" sense of humor?
Can you see Pa's face? It was a little emotional for him. What an incredible thing to see your Great-grandson in your uniform!
It was great having him here. I still like to sit and listen to his stories. You should hear his testimony of how he found God on the ship (LST 474). Amazing what God does in your life, when you least expect it.
Also, the boys thought they should try a new "hat" on Pa, since he had a "hankerin" for KFC.
Did I mention Pa has an "onery" sense of humor?Sorry, for the poor quality. I will find my real camera.....eventually.

Pa's Haircut

Pa gets his haircut in Marshall. Howard Horton has been cutting hair for a VERY long time. He is 91 years young (will be 92, Dec. 1st). He and my Pa have the best time! Rarely, I get to sit in on these moments. I didn't have a real camera with me, just my phone, so please excuse the poor photography.
This banjo was Howard's father's. His father worked for a blacksmith and traded two "hack wheels" for it. It wasn't new when he traded for it, so Mr. Horton estimates it to be "over a hunderd year old".
Here are some other "relics" in Mr. Horton's shop.

Oh, and just so you know, he didn't begin using electric clippers until sometime in the 1960's or later.Happy hair clipping!
Gonna try
I'm not sure how Kim and Angie do it, but I'm gonna try and figure out how to post a photo with a blog entry.

Holidays and such
It's been a busy time! It's not been bad, just busy.
Nanny is adjusting to the Nursing Home. Pa has had a harder time adjusting to not having her at home with him.
Work is work and is better than other jobs I've had in the past. I'm facing some big decisions in my second job, so after those decisions are final, I'll update on them.
Boys are growing up so fast! I can't be the mother of a teenager, can I??? Oh yes, I know I am due to the "ugh" response from the tall figure across the room. I'm also well aware of it, when we're in Wal-Mart or anywhere in public.....cuz he's at least 20 feet away. It would cut on his image to be seen with his Mom, you know.
Holidays are fast approaching, and I mean fast! I am soooo not ready. The part I'm ready for, is everyone getting together, playing games, having fun, etc....but I'm not ready in the "gift" department or in the "clean house" department.....at all!
Did I mention that Eric had his 40th birthday??? More on that later. Gotta get some sleep sometime.

Here
Why in the world am I still up? Lots of things on my mind at the moment.
Mainly, Nanny having to soon go to a Nursing Home. Ugh!
Wishing there was a quick/easy solution to get my housework caught up.
Lots of "various" things swimming around in my mind.
All in all, things are going very well. Still here.

Reason
Had to create a new blog to post on my sister's blog. Wondering if I have too many blogs going on. Wonder if that says "something" about me. LOL
